What to Expect as a Participant

Advocates Against Abuse provides training to help people to live a safe life without abuse. Participants will learn to identify different types of abuse in various situations. Once abuse is identified, learn how to report abuse and who to report to if someone felt they were being abused.

Who could take this course?

Any person who has an intellectual disability and who is:

  • comfortable in an interactive classroom environment for 2 hours
  • prepared, but not required, to participate with the Trainers and their fellow audience members
  • wants to learn how to keep themself safe from abuse
